Abstract:
A disk device provided with: a disk rotating and driving section (7) provided so as not to be movable in the X-axis direction relative to a chassis (10) but movable in the Y-axis direction; guide rails (1) supported by the chassis (10) so as to be parallel to the X-axis; and an optical pickup (2) supported by the rails (1) and reciprocating in the radial direction of a disk rotationally driven by the disk rotating and driving section (7). The optical pickup (2) is provided with a positioning section (8) with which a rotor section (7a) of the disk rotating and driving section (7) is made to contact and which positions the rotation center of the disk rotating and driving section (7). The configuration allows the mounting position of the rotation center of the disk rotating and driving section (7) to be highly accurately and simply adjusted relative to the optical pickup (2).
