Abstract:

A disk holder and a disk-positioning mechanism that are capable of accurately positioning a disk, and a disk device using the disk holder. A disk device has a disk holder (10) with holder plates (11) for individually holding disks (D), a drive unit (62) for reproducing a disk (D), a disk selectors (41A, 41B) for vertically moving holder plates (11) to form spaces over and under a desired disk (D), and a drive base (60) for moving the drive unit (62) to a space produced by the vertical movement of the holder plates (11). On a holder plate (11) is swingably arranged disk hold links (17, 18) having engaging claws (17a, 18a) engaging to and disengaging from the center hole of a disk (D). Further, a disk hold arm (16) for swinging the disk hold links (17, 18) is slidably provided on the holder plate (11).
