Title:
DISK-LIKE TOOL
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2005/037503
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A disk saw (10) has imaginary regions (13) continuous in the circumferential direction. The regions each are formed surrounded by two radial lines extending from the rotation center of a base metal (11) and by two circles on the base metal (11), the two circles having the center at the rotation center. The center angle formed by the two radial lines is 90º or less, and the number of the imaginary regions is from 4 to 24. A central concentric circle positioned at the center of the spacing between the two concentric circles forming the imaginary regions is in a range of 0.6r - 0.8r relative to the rotation center of the base metal with r the maximum tooth bottom radius of the base metal. An overlap of continuous adjacent imaginary regions is 0º - 12º. The minimum distance of nearness between adjacent slits is 0.05r or greater. In each of the imaginary regions, the ratio of an arc length of the central concentric circle to the spacing between the two concentric circles is 3 - 6.
