Abstract:
Disclosed is a disk playback apparatus (100) that automatically executes a user operation of playing a first playback, which is a title program to be played after the power is turned on and before playing the main program or displaying the menu, at a faster speed than an ordinary 1X speed replay. A signal processing unit (15) is provided with a menu detection unit (17) that detects a menu displaying state by analyzing the structures of various data; a main program detection unit (18) that detects a main-program playing state from various data; and a user operation unit (19) that automatically executes, when the signal processing unit (15) evaluates after the power is turned on that a first playback exists, a user operation of playing the title program currently being played at a faster speed than the ordinary 1X speed replay, until the menu detection unit (17) detects a menu displaying state, or the main program detection unit (18) detects a main-program playing state.
