Abstract:
A disklike cutting tool (10) comprises a disklike cutting blade (12) having a
circular hole (11) in the center, an annular supporting plate (19) arranged on
the surface on each side of the blade (12) coaxially therewith and supporting/fixing
the blade (12) at a position on the inner circumferential side of the outer circumferential
edge of the blade, and a continuous annular ultrasonic vibrator (14) secured
to the surface of the supporting plate (19) coaxially with the blade at a position
on the outer circumferential side of the inner circumferential edge of the supporting
plate (19). The supporting plate (19) has an ultrasonic reflection plane (16)
consisting of the interface with a continuous or discontinuous annular air phase
space extending in the thickness direction of the supporting plate (19) at a position
on the inner circumferential side of the inner circumferential edge of the ultrasonic
vibrator (14). The outer circumferential edge of the blade (12) can perform
ultrasonic vibration with a large amplitude in the radial direction of the blade.
