Abstract:
A dispensing system (10) includes a device (12) having a body (14) extending along a longitudinal axis (L) between opposite proximal and distal ends. The body includes a proximal chamber (20), a distal chamber (22) and a wall (24) between the chambers. The body includes a first port (26) in communication with the proximal chamber and a second port (28) in communication with the distal chamber. A shaft (42) is movably positioned within the body. The shaft extending through the wall and comprising a proximal plunger (44) positioned within the proximal chamber and a distal plunger (46) positioned within the distal chamber. Wherein pressure introduced through an opening in the proximal end moves the shaft such that the proximal plunger moves a material within the proximal chamber out of the first port and the distal plunger moves a material within the distal chamber out of the second port. A method of mixing bone cement is also disclosed.
