Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a dispersion containing colloidal silica particles and zinc cyanurate particles so as to sufficiently function to inhibit the corrosion of metal surfaces, and the like, and a coating composition containing said dispersion. [Solution] A dispersion in which dispersoid particles containing colloidal silica particles and zinc cyanurate particles are dispersed in a liquid medium. The average particle diameter of the colloidal silica particles is 5 nm to 500 nm, and the colloidal silica particles are included such that the SiO2 concentration is 0.1 mass% to 40 mass%. The length of the long axis of the primary particles of the zinc cyanurate particles as observed with a transmission electron microscope is 50 nm to 1000 nm, the length of the short axis of the same is 10 nm to 300 nm, the ratio of the lengths of the long axis and the short axis is 2 to 25, and the zinc cyanurate particles are included such that the solid content thereof is 0.1 mass% to 50 mass%.
