Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a dispersion liquid containing: a lipid peptide compound useful as a low-molecular weight gelator and that is a lipid dipeptide, a lipid tripeptide, or the like; and a solvent that can dissolve the lipid peptide compound easily and at a lower temperature. Also, to provide a method for forming a gel and a dispersion liquid that is a simpler method, is capable of forming a hydrogel at mild conditions (low temperatures), and is such that the obtained gel has high thermal stability. [Solution] The method produces a dispersion liquid and a hydrogel using the dispersion liquid, the dispersion liquid containing: a lipid peptide compound resulting from a peptide section having an amino acid repeated bond structure being bonded to a lipid section comprising an aliphatic group having 9-23 carbon atoms; and at least one type of alcohol selected from the group consisting of 1,2-alkanediol, 1,3-alkanediol, and ethylene glycol monoalkyl ether, or a mixed solution of said at least one type of alcohol and water.
