Abstract:
Provided is a display apparatus in which the creation of a step between sub-pixels is prevented. The display device is provided with a substrate and sub-pixels of a plurality of colors two-dimensionally disposed on the substrate. Each of the sub-pixels includes a light emitting element having a resonator structure. The light emitting element includes, in order, a reflecting layer, an optical path length adjusting layer, a first electrode, an electroluminescence layer, and a second electrode. The optical path length adjusting layer has an opposing surface opposing the electroluminescence layer, the height of the opposing surface being constant among the sub-pixels of a plurality of colors. The optical path length adjusting layer includes a plurality of refractive index layers each having a different refractive index. The optical path length adjusting layer has a different layer configuration for each of the sub-pixels of a plurality of colors.
