Abstract:
This invention relates to a hold-type display apparatus and aims to provide a display
apparatus wherein in a case of employing a time division drive, the affection of
a pull-in voltage can be removed. A display apparatus, which performs an image display
based on an externally applied 8-bit data signal (DAT), includes a linear 10-bit
output source driver. A display control circuit (200) comprises a rate-doubling controller
(21); an output frequency converting part (22) that outputs a rate-doubled data
signal (Da) obtained by doubling the frequency of a data signal; a data delaying part
(23) that outputs a delayed data signal (Db) obtained by delaying the rate-doubled data
signal by one subframe interval; and a data converting part (24) that converts the
data from eight bits to ten bits. The data converting part includes conversion LUTs
(251-254), which store correspondences between gray scale voltages and combinations
of the gray scales of a current subframe interval and the gray scales of the preceding
subframe interval, for the respective subframe intervals and for the respective
polarities of the applied voltages.
