Abstract:
Provided is a display apparatus in which no brightness change occurs in a screen when modes are automatically switched. The display apparatus has a plurality of modes and comprises a view environment detection means for detecting an ambient brightness and switching the modes in accordance with the detected ambient brightness, a screen brightness calculation means for calculating the brightness of the screen at each mode, and a screen brightness synthesis means for gradually varying a brightness of the screen from a brightness of the screen before the mode is changed to a brightness of the screen after the mode is changed when the mode is to be switched.
