Abstract:
This display apparatus for making a user recognize a virtual image has: a distance acquiring means, which acquires a distance between the user and a virtual image position, i.e., a position of the virtual image to be recognized by the user; an object detecting means, which is positioned between the user and the virtual image position, and detects an object in a space where a region that corresponds to the virtual image is specified; and a first control means, which makes the display apparatus perform operations that correspond to a region where the object is detected. The region has a breadth in the planar direction with respect to the user observing the virtual image, and the breadth in the planar direction changes corresponding to the distance between the virtual image position and the user.
