Abstract:
Provided is a display apparatus capable of switching between three-dimensional display and two-dimensional display with a simple configuration. This display apparatus is provided with: a panel; a first microlens array that is disposed on the display surface side of the panel and that has a first electrode having a plurality of openings formed therein, a transparent electrode opposing the first electrode, a dielectric and transparent polymer material disposed between the first electrode and the transparent electrode; a second microlens array that is disposed on the light emission side of the first microlens array and that has a sequence of a plurality of convex lenses; and a control device that controls application of voltage to the first microlens array. The first microlens array forms concave lenses on the openings through application of voltage. The control device switches between three-dimensional display and two-dimensional display by controlling the formation state of the concave lenses through controlling of the voltage to be applied to the first microlens array.
