Abstract:
This display apparatus for vehicles detects the position of a vehicle ahead that a driver is following, and displays, in a display area, a marker image corresponding to the position of the detected vehicle ahead. On the basis of the position of the vehicle ahead, the display apparatus for vehicles determines whether the vehicle ahead is inside or outside of either side end of the display area in the vehicle width direction. If the vehicle ahead is outside of either side end of the display area in the vehicle width direction, the marker image is continuously displayed around the side end.
