DESCRIPTION
This present invention relates to a supporting member for advertising talkers and, more specifically, to a supporting member for an advertising shelf talker and the like. Also the present invention provides a blank for the obtaining of said supporting member for shelf talkers.
As is well known today, in commercial outlets such as department stores, malls, supermarkets, etc.. it is provided that the products on sale are shown into a series of multi-shelves arranged side by side, which shelves realize corridors of products displays.
Typically, in order to inform the consumer of the type and / or the presence of goods displayed on shelves, and to provide the consumer with commercial information, there exist are the so-called "promotional shelf talkers", which are arranged in a projecting manner from the shelves where they are mounted.
These shelf talkers can be of different types, but all provide a member onto which the advertising information is reported, and which is mounted at the front part of the shelving and having locking members integrally to said shelf talker, and for the blocking of the same onto said shelving in a removable manner.
With this object, it is known a first type of shelf talker which provides a series of so-called "grippers" that are composed of projections designed to be inserted and locked on respective tracks arranged on the edge of the shelf. This type of shelf talker has the disadvantage of being suitable to be mounted only for specific shapes of shelves, and therefore to be designed to be "dedicated" to the relevant shelf to which it is addressed. From the above, there arises the disadvantage to the seller that he has to provide for the supplying of all kinds of shelf talkers as much as different types of shelves he has in his store. This leads to the disadvantage of the existence of a warehouse of various types of shelf talkers with the costs of obtaining and storing of the same.
On the other hand, there exists another kind of to shelf talkers for shelving exhibitors shaped as "racks", wherein the goods are literally "hanging" on bars and where the advertising information is also reported. Normally, these types of shelf talkers are also mounted as well as the merchandise, (that is hung up), and inevitably the shelf talkers end up confused within the goods. Disadvantageously, this type of shelf talkers are not particularly effective. Moreover, this type of shelf talkers is not adaptable for different uses, for example, cannot be mounted on shelves or the like.
So even in this case the result is a further disadvantage to the seller which has to arrange to have a stock of shelf talkers with the costs of obtaining and storing of the same.
Therefore, the aim of the present invention is to solve the above problems and disadvantages by providing an improved supporting member for the supporting of a shelf talker or the like which shows the possibility to be mounted to virtually any type of shelving for goods.
Another aim of this invention is to provide an improved supporting member for a shelf talker which is extremely simple in design, that is versatile, robust, reliable, and at the same time having a low production cost.
Therefore, the present invention provides a supporting member for a shelf talker substantially according to claim 1.
Furthermore, the present invention provides a blank for obtaining said shelf talker.
A detailed description of a preferred embodiment of the improved supporting member for a shelf talker according to the present invention will now be provided, given by way of example and without limitation, with reference to the appended drawings, wherein:
Figure 1 is a plan view of a blank for the obtaining of said improved supporting member for the shelf talker of the present invention;
Figure 2 is a perspective view from one side of the improved supporting member for the shelf talker when mounted onto a shelf according to the present invention;
Figure 3 is a detailed view of a part of the improved supporting member for a shelf talker for the supporting onto the shelf of Figure 2; and
Figure 4 is a detailed view of another part of the improved supporting member for a shelf talker onto the shelf of Figure 2.
With reference now to Figure 1 there is shown a blank from which may be obtained the improved supporting member for a shelf talker of the invention.
According to invention, there is provided a blank 10 which includes a plurality of members cut away, which once assembled they constitute a improved supporting member 1 for a shelf talker according to the invention.
More specifically, the blank 10 from which is obtainable a shelf talker 4 may also provide a supporting member 1 for the same shelf talker 4. The .supporting member 1 consists of an elongated member 2 which, at a first end 20 thereof are integrally obtained supporting means 21 for supporting said shelf talker 4, while at the opposite end 22 thereof there is obtained into a second supporting part 3.
The supporting means for the shelf talker 4 is a punched slot 21 capable of engaging with a part 40 having complementary shape and integrally obtained onto said to shelf talker 4 (more detailed illustrated below).
On the other hand, the second part 3 is integrally obtained onto the elongated member 2 by a first cut line 30 and a connecting region 31 on the elongated member 2. The arrangement is such that the second supporting part 3 has a "tongue" shape which is likely to bend with respect to the elongated member 2 and by the resilience of the material from which the blank 10 is made.
More precisely, following to the oscillation of said second supporting portion 3 with respect to said elongated member 2, the opening of a slot for the engagement with a respective region 50 of a relevant shelf 5 or the like (more detailed illustrated below).
Additionally, according to invention there are provided second supporting means 6 for the supporting of said elongated member 2, on a region of a shelf 5 or the like. More precisely, as second supporting means there is provided a third part 6 which has a region 60 capable of engaging with the elongated member 2 at a region 23 of said elongated member 2. The third part 6 has a "tongue" conformation having a flap which, when mounted onto said engagement region 23 projects orthogonally from the elongated member 2 (better shown here below).
With reference now to Figure 2, it is shown therein the improved supporting member 1 for a shelf talker in an assembled and completed arrangement in order to support the shelf talker 4 onto a shelf 5 or the like.
As can be seen in the figure, according to the present invention, the improved supporting member 1 for a shelf talker 4 onto a shelf 5 has a first non-operating configuration that is essentially two-dimensional, while in the operating condition it is essentially three-dimensional.
On the other hand, and how it can be understood in the figure, in the assembled condition of the supporting member 1 , the elongated member 2 provides support to the shelf talker 4 through the oscillating connection of the part 40 of the shelf talker 4 within the region 21 of the elongated member 2. As well, the supporting part 3 is in engagement with a respective edge part 50 of a shelf 5. Typically, the shelf 5 has edges 50 provided with "pockets" 51 for the insertion of tabs or information labels, and where the supporting part 3 of the supporting member 1 can be inserted by providing a firm support to the latter, and therefore to the shelf talker 4 onto said shelves 5.
Moreover, when provided, the third part 6 is mounted onto said elongated member 2 and it is arranged in a direction which is perpendicular to said elongated member 2, and in a projecting configuration. Thus, the part 6 if provided with appropriate adhesive surface can provide an additional support to the supporting member 1 at a region of the edge of the shelf 5. As can be seen in the figure, advantageously and according to this invention, the shelf talker 4 projects from the shelves 5 in a swinging and oscillating manner, thereby greatly improving its visibility and therefore its function.
With reference now to Figure 3 and 4 there are illustrated therein in greater detail parts of the supporting member 1 in an functioning conditions.
In particular, Figure 3 illustrates the connecting of the supporting member 1 for the supporting a shelf talker 4 on the edge region 50 of the shelf 5. As can be seen in the figure, in this condition the part 3 is engaged in a pocket 51 for labels and arranged onto the edge 50 of the shelf 5, while part 6 engages with the upper edge of the shelf 5.
Figure 4 illustrates in detail the oscillating connecting of the shelf talker 4 onto the supporting member 1 and onto the shelving 5 of the preceding figure. As can be understood in the figure, the swinging connection of the shelf talker 4 onto its supporting member 1 is obtained by inserting the tip end part 40 of the shelf talker 4 in the relevant region 21 obtained onto said elongated member 2. In this condition, the shelf talker 4 projects from the shelves 5 on which is mounted and it is free to oscillate.
To the men skilled in the relevant art will be evident that for operating and depending on the type of shelf talker 4, it will be is chosen a material of the blank 10 such that the supporting member 1 from which it derives be flexible and likely to exert its supporting function for the shelf talker 4 following to an elastic deformation of the material.
In fact, it can be chosen different configurations in which a material is used and having an elastic or elastoplastic deformation. Examples of materials typically used for this object are derived from plastic materials, laminates or laminated paper and plastic, cardboard, etc.. which allow a good printability and yet have the required mechanical characteristics.
