Abstract:
The present invention provides a display body capable of displaying a diffraction image that allows an observer to easily perceive a three-dimensional effect. The display body (1) comprises: a relief structure forming layer wherein a relief-type diffraction structure for displaying the image of a three-dimensional object as a diffraction image is provided on one principal surface of the display body; and a reflection layer that covers at least partially a region where the diffraction structure is provided on the principal surface. The region includes a first and a second region (R1, R2). A portion of the diffraction structure provided in the first region (R1) includes a first and a second linear section that form a first grating and a first section provided in the interstices of the first grating. The first and second linear sections form a first pattern made up of a solid line. A portion of the diffraction structure provided in the second region (R2) includes a third and a fourth linear section that are arranged alternately in the width direction. The third linear section is made up of a dashed line and the fourth linear section forms a second pattern made up of a dashed line or a dotted line.
