Abstract:
A display control apparatus for vehicles, which is used for a vehicle and controls the display of a head-up display (220) that projects an image onto a projection member thereby overlaying a virtual image on the view ahead of the vehicle, said display control apparatus comprising: a situation determination unit (203, 203c) which determines the situation a host vehicle is in, which pertains to the structure of the road that the host vehicle is travelling on; and a display control unit (204, 204c, 204d) which switches between restricting or not restricting the overlaid display of a virtual image with respect to where the virtual image is to be overlaid in response to the vehicle situation determined by the situation determination unit.
