Abstract:
A display device control device (200) switches between a first display control, wherein a first inputted video is received in a frame memory (203), synchronized with an interior synchronization signal which is generated with an interior synchronization generator unit (206), and outputted; and a second display control, wherein a second inputted video is not received in the frame memory (203), is synchronized with an exterior synchronization signal which is a synchronization signal of the second inputted video, and outputted. A vertical synchronization updater unit (209) switches synchronization signals at a vertical synchronization timing, and after said switching, a synchronization mask controller unit (211) does not output the synchronization signal during an effective display region interval. A video switch controller unit (210) switches video when one vertical synchronization interval has elapsed after the switching of the video signal. It is thus possible to continue a display when selecting and switching between an interior synchronized display and an exterior synchronized display for a plurality of unsynchronized input videos without disrupting the video and without inserting all-black frames.
