Abstract:
This display control device (11) is equipped with: a cancellation detection unit (87a) that detects a cancellation with regard to rewriting of a program in which first update data, which is stored in an electronic control device for which rewriting is to be carried out, is rewritten with second update data acquired from an external device; a writing instruction unit (87b) that delivers the second update data to the electronic control device, and issues an instruction for writing of the second update data; and a reporting instruction unit (87c) for issuing an instruction for reporting a progress status related to the rewriting of the program. The reporting instruction unit issues an instruction for using a first mode to report the progress status related to the rewriting of the program during the delivery of the second update data, and issues an instruction for using a second mode to report the progress status related to the rewriting of the program when a cancellation is detected by the cancellation detection unit. When a cancellation is detected by the cancellation detection unit during the delivery of the second update data, the writing instruction unit continues the delivery of the second update data.
