Abstract:
A virtual image display unit 2 is capable of displaying display objects, i.e. virtual images visible from the driver's seat of a vehicle via a windshield, in virtual image positions specified by virtual image distances, i.e. the distances to the virtual images, and virtual image directions, i.e. the directions of the virtual images using the specific position of the vehicle as a reference. A display control device 1 is provided with: a guidance information acquisition unit 11 which acquires, from a navigation device 3 of the vehicle, guidance information, i.e. route guidance information corresponding to a guidance site in front of the vehicle; a guidance-site-position acquisition unit 12 for acquiring the relative position of the guidance site with respect to the vehicle; and a control unit 14 for controlling the display on the virtual image display unit. The control unit 14 displays a guidance information display object, i.e. a display object indicating the content of the guidance information, and a guidance site display object, i.e. a display object indicating the position of the guidance site.
