Abstract:
A display device for controlling a home appliance by using a voice recognition, according to an embodiment of the present invention, may comprise: a display unit; a wireless communication unit for wirelessly performing communication with the home appliance; and a control unit which receives a voice command, when the intention of the received voice command is the intention for requesting a method for handling an object, on the basis of information of the object, determines an operation mode of the home appliance for handling the object, and, in the determined operation mode, transmits, to the home appliance, a control command for operating the home appliance.
