Abstract:
A display device (1) comprises: a parallax barrier that separates parallax images to be displayed on a display unit (60) into a plurality of visual line directions and displays the parallax images; and a display control unit (10) that controls displays of the parallax images, which have been separated by the parallax barrier and are to be displayed toward the respective visual directions, on a per visual line direction basis and enables a three-dimensional image to be appreciated through liquid crystal shutter glasses (70). The display device (1) thereby can allow a plurality of audience members to appreciate respective different display mode images by using the parallax barrier when allowing the audience members to appreciate a three-dimensional image through the liquid crystal shutter glasses (70) for switching between the possibility and impossibility of visual recognition by the right and left eyes.
