Abstract:
This display device (1) is provided with: a transmissive display unit (5) disposed in front of a user's eyes; an image capturing unit (2) which captures an image of the real world in an image-capturing view angle greater than a display view angle of the display unit (5); an AR recognizing unit (61) which recognizes a subject, on which additional information is to be displayed, from the real world image captured by the image capturing unit (2); a mode determining unit (62) which determines whether a real object overlap mode is an image overlap mode; and a display control unit (65) which allows the additional information on the subject recognized by the AR recognizing unit (61) to be overlapped and displayed on the real world which has been transmitted through the display unit (5), in the case of the real object overlap mode, and allows the additional information on the subject recognized by the AR recognizing unit (61) to be overlapped and displayed on the real world image captured by the image capturing unit (2), in the case of the image overlapping mode.
