Abstract:
A display device comprises a flat display device (1), a variable polarization cell (4) including an address electrode and a column electrode, and a light beam control element (6) and switches between 2D and 3D displays. When a region corresponding to a second column address electrode has a region to be displayed three-dimensionally and a region not to be displayed three-dimensionally and when a region for the lead-out line of a far electrode corresponding to a second column region to be displayed three-dimensionally is included in a first column region not to be displayed three-dimensionally, a third address voltage obtained by inverting the positive and negative polarities of a first address voltage is applied to the second column address electrode, a third column voltage obtained by inverting the positive and negative polarities of a first column voltage is applied to a far electrode corresponding to the region to be displayed three-dimensionally, and a fourth column voltage obtained by inverting the positive and negative polarities of a second column voltage is applied to a far electrode corresponding to the region not to be displayed three-dimensionally.
