Abstract:
Provided is a display device or electronic equipment having superior portability and information-assimilation properties. Specifically provided is a display device that has two overlapping display panels such that the surface area of the overlapping portions of the two display panels can be changed. The greater the overlapping surface area of the two display panels, the smaller the display device. A first display panel has a first region for displaying. A second display panel has a second region for displaying, and a third region that is adjacent to the second region and transmits visible light. By overlapping the third region upon the side of the displaying surface of the first region, it is possible to display on a large, seamless display region.
