Abstract:
The present invention relates to a display device having a light-emitting edge in order to improve the effect of gaze concentration. A display device having a light-emitting edge according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a display panel for displaying images; an LED module installed on the edge of the display panel so as to emit light from the edge of the display panel; a transparent light waveguide plate for transferring light emitted by the LED module to an edge spaced from the edge of the display panel by a preset interval and emitting the light; a transparent cover plate configured such that the display panel and the light waveguide plate are attached on the same plane and thereby provide an integrated appearance; and a light conversion member installed on the edge of the cover plate so as to diffuse point light emitted through the edge of the cover plate such that the same is converted into natural gradation light. Accordingly, the effect of gaze concentration is improved, and natural gradation-type light is provided, thereby reducing the degree of fatigue of the eyes.
