Abstract:
In the present invention, in a display device body (10A), a first polarizing plate (31), a first wavelength plate (32), a reflective layer (33), a second wavelength plate (35), and a second polarizing plate (36) are disposed between a display element (De) and a lens (S), and are arranged in the stated order from the display element (De) side to the lens (S) side. The reflective layer (33) includes: reflective regions (E1) that correspond to the positions of non-light-emitting regions (R2) of the display element (De) and that reflect light; and light-transmissive regions (E2) that correspond to the positions of a plurality of light-emitting regions (R1) and that allow light to pass therethrough. Due to this configuration, achieved is a display device by which the usage rate of light emitted by the display element can be improved.
