Abstract:
A display device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a display; a processor; and a power supply unit which supplies power to the display and the processor, wherein the power supply unit comprises: a power reception unit that receives AC power from an external power source; a rectifier which rectifies AC power and converts the AC power into DC power; and a power factor improving unit which adjusts a power factor of the DC power and outputs a voltage of the DC power to be output to the display on the basis of a voltage at a specified point of the power supply unit, and wherein the processor can confirm the power consumption of the display and execute configuration such that the power factor improving unit is turned on or off on the basis of the confirmed power consumption of the display. In addition, various other embodiments are possible that are known through the specification.
