Abstract:
Disclosed in the present invention are a display device, and a method for displaying a virtual image. The display device comprises an optical engine, a correction element, and a diffractive beam expander. The optical engine is used for generating first input light; the correction element comprises at least one refraction prism and is used for generating second input light; and the diffractive beam expander comprises a series of diffraction elements, and generates output light by means of diffractive beam expanding of the second input light. The correction element can compensate for image dispersion caused by mismatching amongst the diffraction elements of the diffractive beam expander.
