Abstract:
Provided is a display device that is capable of displaying a high quality image. This display device has a first light-emitting element, a second light-emitting element, a first protective layer, a second protective layer, and voids. The first light-emitting element has a first lower electrode, a first EL layer on the first lower electrode, and a first upper electrode on the first EL layer, and the second light-emitting element has a second lower electrode, a second EL layer on the second lower electrode, and a second upper electrode on the second EL layer. The first light-emitting element and the second light-emitting element are adjacent to each other. The first protective layer has a region that is provided on the first light-emitting element and on the second light-emitting element and is in contact with a side surface of the first EL layer and a side surface of the second EL layer. The second protective layer is provided on the first protective layer. The voids are provided between the first EL layer and the second EL layer and between the first protective layer and the second protective layer.
