Abstract:
Provided is a display device provided with a structure that can easily be manufactured. In this display device, each subpixel includes element forming regions (22) in which one organic electroluminescent element is provided and element non-forming regions (23) in which contact spacers (12) are provided, and on a surface of a second substrate, a plurality of pixels are each provided in a matrix. In a pixel on the second substrate, the element non-forming regions for the plurality of subpixels constituting that pixel are disposed along a first direction, and in the pixels on the second substrate, the element forming regions for the plurality of subpixels provided in the pixels are disposed along a second direction (Y). In the plurality of pixels arranged along a straight line extending in the first direction, all of the element non-forming regions for all of the subpixels are disposed along the first direction, and the element forming regions for the subpixels that radiate the same type of light are disposed along the first direction.
