Abstract:
The present invention provides a display device which is capable of display with high luminance. According to the present invention, a first layer comprising a first light emitting material that emits blue light is formed in an island shape on a first pixel electrode, and subsequently, a second layer comprising a second light emitting material that emits light having a longer wavelength than blue light is formed in an island shape on a second pixel electrode. After that, an insulating layer which overlaps with a region that is sandwiched between the first pixel electrode and the second pixel electrode is formed, and a common electrode is formed so as to cover the first layer, the second layer, and the insulating layer. The insulating layer is formed by performing a patterning process and an etching process at least twice, respectively.
