Abstract:
Disclosed is a display device that can cause a user to understand the movements of controlled devices without preparing three-dimensional models that faithfully reproduce the appearance of each controlled device. A PC (10) that is the display device displays choices of virtual mechanisms, and receives the selection thereof. The virtual mechanisms are assembled from a plurality of mechanism elements in an interlocked relationship, and are provided with an abstracted form that is not an emulation of a particular controlled device. The choices of virtual mechanism contain a plurality of virtual mechanisms of which the embodiments of interlocked relationship of mechanism elements or the embodiments of types of mechanism elements differ from one another. The PC (10) displays on a screen a video indicating the state of the selected virtual mechanism in each cycle of command values being input to the controlled device or designated cycles among said cycles using the command values or the measured values of the sequence of positions that are the result of executing a command program.
