Abstract:
This invention makes possible operations in accordance with a user's intention when carrying out an operation using line of sight. A line-of-sight detector (202) detects the line of sight of the user from an image of the user's face captured by an image-capturing unit (106). A specification unit (201) specifies a position on the screen of a display unit (1042) touched by the user. A first control unit (203) controls the display unit (1042) so that a sub-menu for operating the display device is displayed at the position specified by the specification unit (201). A second control unit (204) controls the display unit (1042) so as to fix a cursor position when the sub-menu is being displayed on the display unit (1042), and to determine the cursor position on the basis of the line of sight detected by the line-of-sight detector when the sub-menu is not being displayed on the display unit (1042) so that the cursor is displayed in the determined position.
