Abstract:
A display device comprises: a communication unit for receiving video content from a video service server through a network and transmitting data to the video service server; an image processing unit for decoding the video content and outputting an image frame; and an image display unit for displaying the image frame, wherein the image processing unit can transmit, to the video service server, a video resolution reduction signal, which allows the video service server to transmit the video content having a resolution lower than a reference resolution in response to an increase in traffic of the network, or a frame rate reduction signal, which allows the video service server to transmit the video content having a frame rate lower than a reference frame rate in response to the increase in traffic of the network.
