Provided is a display device, comprising: a screen body, comprising a first display region and a second display region; and a display driver chip, electrically connected to the screen body and used for driving the screen body to display light emission; said display driver chip comprising: a grayscale generation module, a first control module, a grayscale drive module, and a second control module. The first control module controls the grayscale generation module to reduce the grayscale required by each pixel unit in the second display region by a fixed order number so as to generate a reduced grayscale level; the grayscale voltage corresponding to the reduced grayscale is selected by means of the grayscale drive module, and the grayscale voltage is allocated to each pixel unit in the second display region; by means of the second control unit, the grayscale drive module is controlled to allocate the first preset grayscale voltage to all pixel units in the first display region; thus the second display region and the first display region have a grayscale difference, the first display region is separately controllable, effectively reducing flicker and sudden brightness changes of the second display region.
