Abstract:
A display device having an optical detection function is provided. A highly convenient display device is provided. The display device includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a light-receiving element, a transistor, and a light-emitting element in a display unit. The light-receiving element, the transistor, and the light-emitting element are located between the first substrate and the second substrate, respectively. The light-receiving element is located closer to the first substrate side than is the transistor. The light-emitting element is located closer to the second substrate side than is the transistor. The light-receiving element has an organic compound-containing layer. The transistor is electrically connected to the light-emitting element. The display device may preferably further have a lens, and it is preferable that light having passed through the lens enter the light-receiving element.
