A display device or display system that has a first layer and a second layer, the first layer having a pixel circuit, a drive circuit, and a functional circuit, and the second layer having a light-emitting diode. Or, a display device or display system that has a first layer, a second layer, and a third layer, the first layer having a drive circuit and a functional circuit, the second layer having a pixel circuit, and the third layer having a light-emitting diode. The drive circuit has the function of outputting an image signal, and the functional circuit, for example, has a CPU and has the function of correcting the image signal in accordance with the amperage flowing in the pixel circuit.
