Abstract:
A control section (10) uses any one of the following means: means for operating
a push switch (171) placed at a position operable only by a front passenger seat
side occupant; means for touch operation of a marker of a desired shape displayed
at a desired position on a front passenger side screen; means for monitoring by
an infrared sensor (164) placed at an outer peripheral section of a liquid crystal
display panel (162); and means for monitoring a driver's seat side occupant
by a monitoring camera (172) placed at a position at which the orientation of the
face of the driver's seat side occupant can be monitored. During travel
of the vehicle, the control section determines which occupant has operated a
menu icon of an operation limitation item and invalidates touch panel operation
relating to the operation limitation item by the driver's seat side occupant
during traveling of the vehicle.
