Abstract:
Provided is an optical member which makes it possible to fix a light guide panel to a rim part by an adhesive in a reliable and firm manner. An optical member according to the present disclosure guides light entering from an image forming device and emits the light to an observer. This optical member is provided with a light guide panel 41 formed from a resin plate 41', a first deflection means 42, and a second deflection means 43. The light entering the light guide panel 41 from the image forming device is deflected by the first deflection means 42, is totally reflected inside of the light guide panel 41 and is propagated, is thereafter deflected by the second deflection means 43, and is emitted to the observer. The light guide panel 41 has a protruding part 51 that extends from a portion of a lateral surface of the light guide panel. The light guide panel 41 is fixed, by an adhesive 52, to an internal lateral surface 11A of a rim part 11 in a state where a tip of the protruding part 51 is in contact with the internal lateral surface 11A of the rim part 11.
