Abstract:
Provided is a display device that makes it possible for a user to see the background and that also makes it possible to perform imaging at a high sensitivity. According to the present invention, a display device has, on a substrate that transmits visible light, a first light-emitting element, a second light-emitting element that is adjacent to the first light-emitting element, a light-receiving element that is adjacent to the second light-emitting element, a first organic layer that is provided between the second light-emitting element and the light-receiving element, and a second organic layer that is provided between the first light-emitting element and the second light-emitting element. The first light-emitting element is formed by layering, in order, a first pixel electrode, a first light-emitting layer, and a shared electrode. The second light-emitting element is formed by layering, in order, a second pixel electrode, a second light-emitting layer, and a shared electrode. The light-receiving element is formed by layering, in order, a third pixel electrode, a photoelectric conversion layer, and a shared electrode. The transmittance of light of at least a portion of the wavelengths of visible light is lower at the first organic layer than at the second organic layer.
