Abstract:
Provided is a production method for a display device, the definition of which can easily be increased. Also provided is a display device that has both a high display quality and high definition. A first electroluminescent film is formed upon a first pixel electrode, a first sacrificial film is formed so as to cover the first electroluminescent film and a first electrode, and the first sacrificial film and the first electroluminescent film are etched to form a first electroluminescent layer upon the first pixel electrode. Subsequently, the first sacrificial film is removed to expose the first electrode. Next, a common electrode is formed upon the first electroluminescent layer and the first electrode. The first electroluminescent film is etched by dry etching, and the first sacrificial film is removed by wet etching.
