Abstract:
Provided are a display device, program and display method which minimize changes in the original relationship between a pre-set peripheral illumination intensity and display unit brightness when changing the minimum value of the brightness. The provided display device is equipped with a display unit, an illumination intensity acquisition unit for acquiring the illumination intensity of the peripheral light, and a relationship acquisition unit for acquiring the relationship between the illumination intensity and the display unit brightness. Therein, the brightness is set to a minimum brightness Ym when the acquired illumination intensity is less than a pre-set lower limit illumination intensity Im, the brightness is set to a maximum brightness YM when the acquired illumination intensity exceeds a pre-set upper-limit illumination intensity IM, and the relationship is controlled so as to satisfy the following conditions when the minimum brightness Ym is changed from a first minimum brightness Ym1 to a second minimum brightness Ym2 which is larger than the first minimum brightness Ym1. (1) The first relationship R1 is the relationship between the brightness and the illumination intensity between the lower-limit illumination intensity Im and the upper-limit illumination intensity IM when the minimum brightness Ym is the first minimum brightness Ym1. (2) The first relationship R1 does not change in the range where the acquired illumination intensity exceeds a pre-set intermediate illumination intensity. (3) The intermediate illumination intensity is an illumination intensity between the lower-limit illumination intensity Im and the upper-limit illumination intensity IM. (4) The second relationship R2 is obtained by changing the first relationship R1 between the lower-limit illumination intensity Im and the intermediate illumination intensity.
