Abstract:
A content group is displayed while a plurality of display devices are being synchronized without a specific device serving as a master. A display device (3a) comprises: a transmission unit (33a) that transmits a synchronization signal to another device; a reception unit (34a) that receives the synchronization signal from the other device; a content group acquisition unit (311) that repeatedly acquires a content group for the device from a playlist; a video display unit (314) that repeatedly reproduces video based on the content group; a synchronization determination unit (312) that, when the reception unit (34a) receives the synchronization signal while the video display unit (314) is displaying the current content group, causes the reproduction of the current content group to be stopped and causes the next content group to be reproduced; and a synchronization signal transmission control unit (313) that, when the video display unit (314) finishes displaying the current content group, causes the synchronization signal to be transmitted from the transmission unit (33a) to the other device.
