Abstract:
This display device is provided with a generating unit for generating display chromaticity, which is the chromaticity of a white point to be displayed on the display device, on the basis of a degradation value representing the degree of degradation of a backlight, a chromaticity setting, which is the chromaticity of a white point based on a user setting, and a device chromaticity, which is the chromaticity of a white point at which brightness is highest on the display device. As the degree of degradation represented by the degradation value increases, the display chromaticity approaches the device chromaticity from the chromaticity setting.
