Abstract:
Provided is a display device capable of selecting an external destination device
to which a CEC message has been transmitted, as an operation object device even
if the device is not in the active state. A television device (100) includes an
HDMI terminal to be connected to an external device and is connected hierarchically
in a tree state to a plurality of external devices via the HDMI terminal. When an
input switching is instructed to one of the external devices by an input operation
by a user, the television device (100) transmits a CEC message for switching the
input route to the external device for which the input switching has been instructed
and selects the external device which is the destination of the CEC message as
an operation object device.
