Abstract:
Disclosed is a display device, which can be provided as a final product for a television receiver and the like only by assembling a display panel and a backlight, and furthermore can eliminate or suppress scratching due to rocking and the like of an optical member. The display device (100) is provided with a first cabinet (Ca) having the display panel (11) attached thereto, and a second cabinet (Cb) having a light source (50) attached thereto. The first cabinet (Ca) and the second cabinet (Cb) are assembled by having therebetween the optical member (20) which diffuses light emitted from the light source (50). The optical member (20) is provided with a first optical member (22) which is relatively heavy in weight, and a second optical member (21) which is relatively light in weight. The first optical member (22) is pressed by means of the top portion of a protruding part (14a (38a)) provided on either the first cabinet (Ca) and/or the second cabinet (Cb).
