Abstract:
This liquid crystal display device (10) is provided with: a plate-shaped liquid crystal panel (11) having a display surface (DS) that displays an image; and a resin second cabinet (14) that is disposed in a manner so as to cover the liquid crystal panel (11) from the reverse side from the display surface (DS), and that comprises at least a first bottom plate (22), which has a plate surface along the plate surface of the liquid crystal panel (11), a second bottom plate (23), which has a plate surface along the plate surface of the liquid crystal panel (11) and is disposed in a manner so as to not be superposed on the first bottom plate (22) and is disposed further from the liquid crystal panel (11) than the first bottom plate (22), and a connection section (24) that connects the first bottom plate section (22) and the second bottom plate section (23).
