A display device (100) and a vehicle roof display. The display device (100) comprises a support unit (10) and a display unit (20). The support unit (10) comprises a bottom base (11), a top base (12), which is arranged opposite the bottom base (11), and an intermediate base (13), which is located between the bottom base (11) and the top base (12), wherein one end of the intermediate base (13) is connected to the bottom base (11), and the other end of the intermediate base (13) is connected to the top base (12). The display unit (20) is located between the bottom base (11) and the top base (12); the display unit (20) is arranged in the circumferential direction of the intermediate base (13) and is configured to have a ring structure; a ring opening at one end of the display unit (20) is connected to the bottom base (11), and a ring opening at the other end of the display unit (20) is connected to the top base (12); and side surfaces of the two ends of the display unit (20) are both configured to be non-planar. The display area of the display device (100) can be increased, and the wind resistance thereof can be reduced.
