Abstract:
A sensor pixel circuit (9) is provided with: a light receiving element (PD), a first node (Vsig), which retains electrical charge corresponding to the light amount which has entered into the light receiving element; and a second node (Vint), which receives and retains the electrical charge from the first node (Vsig). Under the control of a drive circuit (7), during one among the detection period when a sensor light source (3) is lit and the detection period when the sensor light source (3) is extinguished, the electrical charge corresponding to the light amount which has entered into the light receiving element (PD) is stored in the first node (Vsig). The stored electrical charge is transferred from the first node (Vsig) to the second node (Vint). Furthermore, during the other period among the detection period when the sensor light source is lit and the detection period when the sensor light source is extinguished, the electrical charge corresponding to the light amount which has entered into the light receiving element (PD) is stored in the first node (Vsig), and the stored electrical charge is transferred from the first node (Vsig) to the second node (Vint). Thus, the value of the difference between the light amount stored in the second node (Vint) when the sensor light source is lit and the amount stored when the sensor light source is extinguished is obtained.
